In 2017 the Nectar Trust began supporting The British Muslim Heritage Centre through providing funds to continue its renovation work on its Grade 2 listed property. The BMHC runs community programmes, education programmes and offers venue hire in the 19th Century building, with the aim to make heritage tangible, visible, interesting and accessible for all. Through this restoration project, BMHC offers a welcoming, engaging learning environment bringing diverse communities together.
Working with the BMHC, we aim to support the vision of bringing to life a venue which can when fully operational, will be one of the main visitor destinations, for local, national and international visitors, employing over 100 people and bringing a boost to the local economy.
